Last September, in a country venue surrounded by olives and vineyards on Lake Garda near Verona, I created the florals for a lovely Italian couple living in London.

Since the location had that countryside vibe, Greta chose a timeless green and white palette and a natural romantic style.

The symbolic ceremony was held in the olive garden overlooking the picturesque vineyards and hills.White was the perfect colour for all the decorations, against the backdrop of the silver green olive trees. Natural bouquets fo green and white were tied to the chairs with fluttering ribbons, and baskets of olive branches and flowers created a natural look.

The wedding reception and dinner took place in the shade of an antique colonnade. To create a romantic atmosphere I decorated each round table with a light, airy floral arrangement. Delicate eustoma, dense carnations, light camomile together with meadow grasses were perfect for this look.

Greta wanted a very natural bouquet and dahlias were her favourite flowers. She really loved her bouquet! Finally I created four romantic posy bouquets for the bridesmaids. The green and white palette matched their sage green dress perfectly.

After the wedding, Greta sent me a lovely note: ‘Hi Tania, first of all thank you so much for everything you did. Every floral creation was an art and very curated in all the details. When I saw dahlias in my bouquet I got very emotional.’
