On a glorious Saturday of July, a young German couple celebrated their dream wedding with family and friends on Lake Garda (northern Italy).

The stunning  Relais&chateaux Villa Cordevigo, surrounded by vineyard was the perfect setting.

I first met the couple together with the wedding planner Christian in April. They chose lavender as the main theme for their symbolic ceremony in the park. This was enhanced by a very soft and delicate palette for the floral decorations.  For the dinner table design I created a natural garden running the whole length of the majestic imperial table. I used hundreds of bud vases,  petit bouquets,  golden chandeliers and dozens of flickering candles and lanterns to create this magical effect.

An event like this takes a lot of planning and preparation is key.

A week before I started to select  all the vases, lanterns, chandeliers and other items.

3 days prior to the big event all flowers arrived. It was so emotional to see all the flowers together and the scent was amazing! It was essential to clean them and put them in fresh water, so that they would open up nicely.

The day before I created all the floral decorations and made sure that everything was ready.

On the big day everything  was taken to the villa.

I started by arranging the floral decorations for the symbolic ceremony.

Next I decorated the aperitif area, ready for the guests.

By sunset I put the final touches to the dinner table, and banquet could be served!

Overall  it was an incredible and amazing experience.
