A Summer Wedding in a Provençal palette
A summer wedding in a Provençal palette for Francesca and Marco, who celebrated their love last July.
They got married in a very quaint little old church near a unique square pond which gave it a distinctive quality. I decided to create organic floral decorations to match the earthy and rustic style of the church all in green and white. For the altar I created a very natural garden style composition, on the benches poisy bouquets in white and at the entrance two floral rustic compositions welcomed the guests.
After the ceremony, the reception was held in enchanting countryside villa just outside Verona.
The dinner was held in the terrace surrounded by elegant blossoming Italian curated gardens with hedgegrows of amazing white cosmos. On every table I wanted to recreate a summer flower garden in the delicate Provençcal palette of lilac, pink, white and a touch of deep burgundy. So there were romantic and natural bouquets, mixed summer flowers in crystal bud vases and flickering candles in gold small holders. The thread was a Sea Lavander in different shades, one of Francesca’s favourite flower.
The whole setting was bathed in the light of sunset and when night approached warm Italian string lights were lit.
For Francesca’s bridal bouquet I suggested a romantic and delicate style perfectly matched with her lace and tulle gown. The flowers were porcelain spry roses, dancing lilac clematis, delicate pink Eustoma and intense tiny burgundy pearls of Sanguisorba.
In Francesca’s lovely words: ‘Tania has an innate unique taste, simple and always striking. She knew how to create balance and harmony in every single floral decoration, both for the church and the location. Very professional, accurate and intuitive. I really recommend her!’
