A thousand shades of pink for an elegant lively birthday
In July I had the pleasure of creating the floral decorations for Giovanna’s very special birthday party. The setting was an amazing country location among the vineyards of Valpolicella.
Giovanna chose a vibrant and lively palette in different shades of pink, a touch of burgundy, lilac and some peachypink.
Each flower that I chose for the floral decorations had its own special role. I used hot pink roses with deep rich petals reminiscent of a Renaissant woman’s velvet gorget. Next came eustoma in delicate peach tones, dancing scabious in burgundy, perfumed vivid pink freesia and fresh blackberries.
A long imperial table was set in the shades of a majestic old tree. Along the whole length there were petite floral cakes interspersed with crystal bud vases which added movement and light to the whole tablescape design. As a special surprise I picked some blueberries perfect for the summer party vibe.
Hanging from the majestic mulberry tree there was a vintage green swing which I enjoyed decorating with roses and carnations.
The birthday cake was set on a crystal table beside the pool. Here I created some small sweet romantic decorations in golden bowls along with flickering candles to set the scene.
