An impressionist spring garden floral shoot

In April I styled the floral design for a shoot in Villa Della Torre, a reinassance villa set among vineyards, close to Verona (northern Italy).

My idea for this shoot was to create a very natural yet elegant table floral design inspired by an impressionist secluded garden.

I created unique loose bouquets alongside various shapes and sizes of flowers in bud-vases to create movement and light. I specifically used crystal  vases to add transparency.

The central flower in this floral design was Ranunculus. I paired it with tulips, carnations, clematis, eustoma and amni. Every single flower is unique in its bud shape, texture and posture and has a special role to play in the creation. From delicate fluttering ranunculus like silk-Japanese paper, the velvet of carnations to delicate lace design of amni and the feminine eustoma.

Tiny blueberries and wild strawberries in delicate bowls surrounded by flickering candles added the final magical touch.
