An intimate autumn Wedding in the Valpolicella hills of Verona

On a sunny day in early October, Barbara and Julio, a Brazilian couple, made their dream of love come true together with relatives and friends. They chose a rustic location nestled in the hills of Valpolicella, a stone’s throw away from Verona and Lake Garda. The courtyard, paved with Pum stone, climbing vines and autumn foliage, was the perfect setting for the entire day. Barbara chose a vibrant autumn palette consisting of burgundy, magenta red, orange, fuchsia and a touch of blue.

For the intimate symbolic ceremony, the portico was the ideal backdrop for the golden arch decorated with flowers, berries and magnolia leaves, echoing the round stone arches. The guests' chairs were decorated with small romantic bouquets, tied with beige satin ribbons.

After the aperitif in the garden, dinner was set up in the front of the stone vine covered façade. In keeping with the autumn vibe, for the bare wooden table, I chose coral rose berries combined with fuchsia roses, blue eryngium, orange leucadendrom and chocolate cosmos in crystal bud vases. Flickering candles in gold holders, added a magical touch.

For her big day, Barbara wore a romantic lace bodice bridal dress and tulle veil. The protea, Barbara's favorite flower, was the must-have flower in her bouquet, to which I added rose berries, small ivory roses, burgundy amaranthus and eucalyptus.

It was a long exciting day, with dancing until late night!
