Last year in July I was in Tuscany for the wedding of an lively Irish couple. They had decided to get married in Castiglioncello a tiny village on the Tuscany coast surrounded by lush Mediterranean greenery.
I first met Eva & Brian last April on a grey rainy day, when we fixed a meeting to talk about mood, design, style and palette for all the floral decorations.
Eva chose a very light, delicate palette in pink, white and green. I suggested fully bloomed roses, soft eustoma and ethereal amni visnaga. As for the greenery olive was a must together with the bottle green pistacia.
The style for all the floral design was romantic, graceful and elegant in an informal way from the church decorations to the bridal bouquet.
Different shades of white and green were chosen for the church floral decorations. A large floral display adorned the altar and small natural bouquets decorated the aisle.
The setting for the dinner was stunning, nestled among dark green Mediterranean flora on a terrace facing the sea. Each round table was decorated with soft toned graceful bouquets, elegant glass vases and candleholders. A small olive twig was placed on each napkin.
Eva’s bridal gown was in ivory lace, with a light tulle veil and an amazing long train. For the bride I created a very graceful and romantic bouquet with pink and white roses, eustoma and olive. For the bridemaids who were all dressed in dust pink I designed smaller bouquets from the same palette.
The whole day was vibrant, fun and lighthearted.
Thank you to Marta who took incredible photos which capturing perfectly the love and joyfulness of this important day.
