Being January, I always like to start the year with Pantone’s chosen colour. ‘Peach Fuzz’ is this year’s choice, a velvety gentle peach tone.
Form Leatrice Eisman, executive director of Pantone: ‘PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz captures our desire to nurture ourselves and others. It's a velvety gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and soul. In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.’
I fully agree with Letrice’s description. I find this hue very cozy, warm, elegant and intriguing and the colour pallete can go from absolute romance to modern elegance.
Three colour schemes which I like most are:
optical white for an elegant, bright and bold palette
pastel tones for a very romantic and dreamy palette
shades of brown for a warm rich palette
The flowers that can be found in this tone are: ranunculus, carnation, dahlia, stock, anthurium, eustoma and rose.
What do you think about this colour, do you like it? Let me know in the comments!
