Last summer, in June, I created all the floral decorations for a young German couple, Sandrina & Max.
The couple decided to organize a long relaxing and informal weekend to celebrate their union. So with this in mind they chose this antique country home set among vineyards near Verona and Lake Garda (Northern Italy). They wanted a very lighthearted vibe for their party as they’d got married the year before with a very intimate ceremony.
So with all that said they went for a summer very vibrant palette: fucsia, lilac, pink, peach and a splash of orange and yellow. They rented the villa for the whole weekend so the guests could relax at the pool and in the park and then get ready for the celebrations.
The symbolic ceremony was held in the shade of a century old tree. I created a floral curtain hanging from the lower branches, the perfect backdrop for the ceremony. Colourful bouquets adorned the aisle and delicately perfumed petals were scattered on the ground.
After a typical Italian aperitif, dinner was served at sunset. A long elegant imperial table was perfect for the colourful floral decorations. I wanted to create a playful summer vibe with natural arrangements, romantic bouquets and loose flowers. The final touch was a string of sparkling LED lights arranged around flickering candles and silver candelabras.
And finally for the bride’s glittering gown I created a bouquet of soft cloud of pure white baby’s breath. This monochromatic bouquet was a perfect match for the gown and Sandrina’s spectacular red hair.
A special thank to the photographer Mario Casati for the beautiful photos.
