Last June on a sunny summer day Martina and Stefano got married on Lake Garda.
They chose a quaint little private church where Martina’s parents got married. The reception was held in an elegant Italian villa surrounded by an amazing park and Italian style gardens, just a stone’s throw away from Verona and Lake Garda.
Martina wanted a colourful, bright palette for all the floral decorations. Being such a tiny church, I only decorated the altar with a green and white floral decoration and the benches with delicate peach spry garden roses. I also made two natural garden-like arrangements for the entrance.
After the moving, emotional ceremony, all the guests enjoyed a sunset apertif in the beautiful Italian garden at the front of the villa.
Walking up a pure white marble staircase, all the guests reached elegant frescoed rooms where dinner was served. For each room Martina chose pink or green dishes with floral decorations to match its palette. As for the flowers, I mixed different styles in bud vases to give a modern yet natural feel to the whole scene. The final touch was flickering coloured candles and tea-lights for each table.
Fuchsia carnations and candles were the perfect touch for the strawberry wedding cake.
For her big day Martina chose a very romantic bridal gown made of layers of soft tulle, to which I paired a simple, yet elegant, round bouquet of delicate peach carnations.
